    17 still available, 11.15AM.

    Slow movement.

  • Pbtech has also had these for pre order last cple of days, but their stock gets in next week

  • Been pretty consistent on pricing for a while now.
Deal is more can you actually buy one rather than price reduction.

  • 4 remaining.

I think the scalpers are starting to shy away from Series X, lots of new consoles on Trade Me being offered for $900 - $950, hardly makes it worth the effort after success fees.

    • Yep, it's even possible to pickup secondhand series Xs for under RRP. The fervour for the PS5 continues though

Definitely a heap of series S's second hand now. Get the feeling people buy them and don't notice a lot of difference/opt for the X or the PS5.

the s is good, i just always planned on an x so selling my s now i got an x

My beef with the S is its $550 and then to add storage worth having in the firm of a USB ssd as a minimum you're talking another $150. Once you hit that price point you might as well stump up for an X that has better storage, graphics and a disc drive.

I don't understand our pricing here as other markets the price gap is bigger, the uk is $500 to $900 converted making the S a better deal at a $400 differenceto our $250. We seemingly get stung on the s but the X is cheaper.

          • @Everettpsycho: Biggest issue with the S is its underpowered GPU, devs are already making serious compromises to the S versions of games (reduced resolutions, textures, framerates etc) to get them running smoothly on Series S and it's only going to get worse for Series S the deeper we get into this current cycle and games start becoming more and more demanding of the hardware.

Personally if I had an S I'd mod it with retroarch and turn it into a dedicated retro games machine then go out and find myself an X to buy.

            • @[Deactivated]: But there's people out there on a budget that probably don't care it plays at 1080p 60 without Ray tracing. I'd argue the market as a whole is probably more made up of those people than people wanting the vjg fancy graphics. I mean look at rhe sales of ps4 and pa4 pro or Xbox one and Xbox one X, I can't say I know very many people that went for the enhanced consoles. If you've never tried 4k 120 you wouldn't know the difference.

For most people who play games the series s will do that and do it well enough. Pair it with game pass and it's fantastic value for that audience.

I do feel the 512gb just won't last long with games like flight Sim or cod being over 100gb each. If the S was $450 I'd be tempted as for the most part I'd be happy with it if I add a USB ssd for more storage and Xbox one back compatible titles.

              • @Everettpsycho: All valid points.

I know many who still don’t have a 4k TV

              • @Everettpsycho: I got the cheap setup.

Series S + gamepass from turkey + old 200gb external SSD + 50inch veon tv
Not bothered about fps or having the newest games. I only buy games when they are 70+% off and I have enough free gift cards from MS reward points.

Me, my partner and kid played too many hours that we broke the white controller and had it replaced ( under warranty).

    • & 5% cashback at CashRewards.

  • if anyone is reading this after a series x, warehouse has them online atm, maybe someone can start a thread if they want
