Can this be increased, I notice often you comment something that was wrong and after a short amount of time can no longer delete or edit it and have to get a mod to remove it. It also leads to confusion for people reading comments on days old deals that are popular with comments that no longer apply to a deal(ie a coupon code is now invalid or cashback removed or stacking with other sold out items)
While giving context to any responses below is important it seems short to me.
Yes you are correct - if someone replies to your comment you can't remove it.
Also, if no-one replies then you have up to an hour or so to unpublish it.
I agree though that it can have the effect of making your comment seem out of context if other components of a deal/previous comment have been changed and you can no longer edit yours.
I guess the right way to handle that would be for people to quote what it is they are responding to (like pretty much everyone used to in NNTP newsgroups in the eighties / nineties), but I suspect that boat has sailed - most people are too lazy to bother.
I could be wrong, but I think that, if someone replies to your comment, it becomes locked.
That makes sense to me, else the reply might reference something that has been edited out, and it all becomes really confusing.
