Confused as to how/why this is positioned as a ‘wireless’ camera, when the specs clearly clearly state it’s a 12V DC power source and comes with that adapter. Am I missing something?
Wireless signal - ie wifi connection vs a cable I would think - lots of vendors even mainstream ones consider them wireless even if they run off power cables if they connect via your wifi.
As per previous Annke deal, this model only connects to their phone app or their brand NVR. I assumed it would work as a standard IP camera, but that is definitely not the case. I didn't use it for long enough to spot the resetting problems that some have had. (Also it took over four months to arrive after I ordered it, as they stated it was being backordered).
Looks like there are python libraries that connect to it, but that's beyond most people's cares or desires to get a camera going :/
My issue was that any other IP camera I tried had seamlessly integrated into Home Assistant/Frigate, so I'd assume these would too. Replaced them with some cheap Imou ones that work perfectly.
