Flybuys/New World point swap is back!
Swap 28 Fly Buys points for $5 New World dollars.

Rate of exchange is 5.6 points per $1 NW

$20 New world gift card is 6.75 points per $1 NW
$50 New World gift card is 6.7 points per $1 NW

Available to Flybuys earning Clubcard members only

This Christmas you can swap your Flybuys Points for New World Dollars. They're automatically loaded onto your Clubcard for you to spend in-store at any New World. 1 New World Dollar is equal to $1 New Zealand Dollar. Hurry, this reward is only available until Friday 24 December 2021.

Important stuff:

1. To get New World Dollars you'll need to be a Flybuys earning New World Clubcard member. If you're not a Clubcard member, you can sign up here. You'll need to wait until you've received your Clubcard before you can get New World Dollars.
2. The promotion ends on Friday 24 December 2021.
3. A maximum Clubcard limit of 2,000 New World Dollars applies, including any amount earnt through other Flybuys currency collection. You will need sufficient room on your Clubcard to be able to load the full amount of your New World Dollars purchase. We recommend checking your current balance before swapping your Points. You can do this at clubcard.co.nz.
4. New World Dollars are instantly loaded onto your New World Clubcard (excludes digital Clubcard) and can be used as either full or partial payment for purchases at any New World store including New World Fresh Collective. Excludes New World fuel sites and online purchases at I shop.
5. New World Dollars cannot be exchanged or refunded in full or part for Flybuys Points or cash.
6. When using your New World Dollars at the checkout, you'll be prompted to enter a 4-digit PIN. If you haven't set up a PIN yet, the default PIN is '0000'. We recommend you change the PIN on your card to protect any New World Dollars on your Clubcard - you can do this after redeeming your New World Dollars at clubcard.co.nz, or call the New World Clubcard Helpline on 0800 80 70 70.

  Isn't this the standard? I get Flybuys at New World and my normal Flybuys convert to NW $. Every 28 points I get an email 'you have another $5'

    Normally if you get earn flybuys as flybuys points you can't swap to nw$ later though and you have to buy NW gift cards at a worse rate. I didn't realise this and got a lot of flybuys in the last promo before swapping to NW$ and fuel discount

    Likely because you elected to have all earned flybuys points convert to $NW (every 28 points). Others may have elected to receive fb points as to save for something they could buy from the fb store; only adding the $NW from time to time if they do wish.

  How do u link a new clubcard to your account to use this and can u use stocard instead of having the physical card? 😁

    My experience with Stocard is mixed. At normal checkouts I can scan my phone (I have an IR LED). At self checkouts it doesn't work, but you can type in the 16 digit code at the bottom by manually entering item code. To redeem NW credit you have to physical swipe your NW card at a normal checkout and tell them how much credit to use (PIA). Also, it then has a pin, which you probably haven't setup. It defaults to 0000

      I've got my clubcard loaded onto the New World app, it scans at self checkouts. I haven't redeemed credit yet (need to find my wife's card to use or load onto her phone) but hopefully they'll accept the card in their app. Although on FlyBuys it does say " Simply scan your physical Clubcard at the eftpos terminal at the checkout and enter your PIN when prompted." but that was last updated June 2020.

    You need a physical card to redeem NWD. It needs to be swiped through the EFTPOS machine, not scanned.

      On self checkout I've only ever scanned it then selected NW clubcard as payment method then enter pin - no swiping of EFTPOS machine needed
      Gone about 8-10 times now

  Just spent $6k at Harrisons on carpet. 1 FB for every $50 spent so 120 points. Divide that by 28 and I got $20 in New World dollars.

  Pretty underwhelming for a $6k spend but FB wasn't the reason why I went with Harrisons so it's a bonus $20 I wasn't expecting I guess.

  As much as I know the numbers works out better for NWD, when you accumulate FB it feels like you're getting more when you slowly accumulate it up to a larger amount and then spend it on some overpriced item or convert it all at once to NWD.
