  • Maybe post a link to the $649 price?

  • I believe they are different models.

One is bes870bks and the cheaper ones are bes870bss.

Not sure if they'll agree with the 10% discount.

Having said that, it's good to try with the same model from Briscoes which is RRP $1,199 and discounted is $699

    • Just edited description to add links to both models at JB hi-fi.

Colour codes. BKS = Black sesame and BSS = Brushed stainless steel

  • do they have online chat to price match? or have to do it in store?

    • +1

I checked and there's no online chat option at Briscoes. You can only do it through their stores or call them and they'll be happy place the order for you. That's what their Help page states..

  • Thanks for this, just bought this again (over the phone for $584 + free shipping)
I had this same model break on me after 5+ years, and the quote from Teletech to replace the Main PCB was $270 (+$50 inspection fee)

    • Were you able to do anything with the broken one? Or just threw away?

      • Not sure yet, only broke 2 weeks ago

As a parts machine yours is worth an easy $150

    • How did you get free shipping? And is the discount in the form of a coupon?

      • +1

I asked nicely, the staff I got was very friendly, ymmw
The staff could only place the order directly and wasn't able to add it to my existing cart

      • The staff offered me free shipping, so I just said ok and thank you.
Good machine. Had one in our office before - making 100+ cups a day and it lasted a few years before needing repairs.

    • A long shot, but should be still covered under CGA. With a bit of pushing. Not lasting a reasonable amount of time. My guess you would have paid over $600?

  • Not sure how accurate this is, but according to Priceme, this product got down to almost $400 last year.

PriceSpy reckons it was $439 in August.

    • Probably a mistake, I've never seen this model sell for less than ~$600 new, except with price beat.

Sometimes the prices on Appliances Outlet popup, but the reviews for the store are not great so it's better to avoid.

      • Oh yeah, they're the local repair agent for some brands, and sell refurbished, repaired & damaged (but usable) appliances.

    • I've had price notification on this machine for some time, can confirm the $439 was for refurbished model at appliances outlet

      • seems like they have up the price for refurbished model too

Whilst people are selling 3 year old second hand for $500 on facebook

  • I just called Morningside branch said they won't do a price match in level 3.

Mt Roskill branch did the price match for me this afternoon.

Price matched at the Henderson store, person who answered had to check with supervisor then manager but got there in the end.
