Drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children under five so we hope this special event will lead to more children learning the vital skills of how to swim and ultimately help reduce our drowning statistics.
Register your child for a free swim lesson at a participating swim school in your area.
This is last year ads. On the website it says "Free swim lessons 29 September – 3 October, 2014".

Might pay to contact them and see if they are going to offer it in NZ this year.
Is this active yet? I click on New Zealand and it says "No schools are currently available in your area – register your school today to be involved in Learn To Swim Week 2014." This obviously relates to last years one which leads me to believe this years on isn't active?
