    • (Without the voucher), although I'd rather have discount than voucher.

Wish their deals were similar to what they offer in Australia.

    Same TV, same company ~AU$2956

    • Yeah it sucks how there is such a price difference but there are several reasons. Australia have better buying power than in NZ, they are bigger in Australia than in NZ. They can buy more stock in Australia so can sell at a cheaper price over there. NZ have higher tax.

I'm waiting until early next year to hopefully grab the 77" C1 or the Sony A80J 77". Such a big price increase for 12" of extra screen though…

      • I own a 65" tv. I was originally keen on a 75" screen for myself, but the price difference between the two was huge. Almost enough to buy a cheap car. I'm very happy with my 65".

        • Yeah I've been humming and harring whether to just go with a 65". But I think I'm dead set on getting a 75" now. If I go with 65" I think I'll keep on regretting not going for a 75".

That extra 10" is like near twice the price though… Sucks…

My sister works for one of these companies so I can get staff price. Hopefully I can get the 77" C1 or A80J for under $5000 early next year if there is any stock left. If not I'll either go with next year's models or maybe even consider the 75" Sony x95j when that gets released.

          • @Christo: Im in the same boat as you, i got 65" X8500C 4K Ultra HD which is a great tv but now that i have ps5, and i always wanted 75 or 85”, i want to upgrade my tv. I dont wanna end up buying 65” again and then regretting. My budget is also $4k-$5k and i have always bought sony tvs. Options that i am looking at this stage are sony x90j 75” or lg c1 or a80j

      • and you forgot the 5-10% of exchange rate difference, currently its like 5% but it fluctuates - thats $3-500 alone on the above price.

    • I was thinking about (before lockdown) bringing back a tv from Australia but supposedly the frequency is different and it won’t work? Is that still the case does anyone know?

      • Who watches nz TV anyway I think at the start of the menu when you choose nz as your country it should work because it's exactly the same stock and model sold in nz otherwise if you really want to watch nz channels get a Freeview receiver.

  • So I bit the bullet and bought one 9 days ago as I think NZ just isn't going to get enough stock of them for Xmas.
Once again the market is shit, listed as Essential so should ship, but nothing has happened since, just get form emails back about COVID. I'd be wary, as I'm starting to think this is noel leeming selling stock they don't have again.

    • I see the 55" C1 is available on The Market via Noel Leeming, but it's not listed on Noel's website. I thought that was a bit strange!

    • Reckon there will be a shortage again for Boxing Day sales? I was holding out until then but what you say seems possible in the current climate.

      • Everything's going up in price, everywhere.

    • None of that stock is owned by Noel Leeming it is just either on floor plan or drop shipped. Brought a 75 inch Samsung over the phone for a person a few years ago and sent that person in to collect and pay for it and Noel Leeming wouldn't sell it to him because he wasn't in the area and that was the only one they had because of a shortage, rang up Noel Leeming head office they put us in touch with the Samsung rep and he told them to release it.

      • Ha, not surprised, they shouldn't list a 3-7 day delivery time and are again breaking the law in regards to the fair trading act & misleading consumers, like they have been fined for doing multiple times last year.

      • Im not sure what you mean, noel leeming do a keep a lot of TV's on hand, you can always just use their website to see exactly what stock is available.

        • Quite often on their website it will state stock arriving in five days' time or stock will be shipped at on certain date. I bought a JBL Bluetooth speaker not that long ago and it said it will be shipped on the 10th when it took a month longer, they did phone me and gave me the option to cancel. And as for the television I was referring to there was only about five of model left in the country.

          • @pdevonporf: I see what you mean.

With noels imo you're almost always better just going through a shop. LG pay the commission on that tv with noels so at the very least you might score a better deal.

At least then you get guaranteed stock.

But yeah, they should be more honest about etas

  • Is this the best TV to buy in 2021?

    • In terms of price to spec then this model or the Sony A80J are the ones to go for for OLED. Sony x95j for LED.

If you're a gamer than LG C1 if just movies then Sony A80J.

      • But interesting thing is when it comes to 83 model. Sony A90J is having same price as LG C1!

        • Yeah that's weird eh considering the competition for the A90J is the G1 and the C1 is the A80J.

    • It's a good tv if your main focus is gaming otherwise sony a80j can't beaten if you are after picture quality and motion.

  • Not as good picture quality but once you'll experience factory ambilight in action - you'll laugh that you were even considering anything else:

(First time under $3k since released last year, flash sale ends today)

    • How much was it at? Currently 3698.

      • $2999 (+100 delivery :/ ), can be seen in "price history" tab on Pricespy. Arrived yesterday and I'm loving it. Secret is keep it 10-12cm from the wall for Ambilight. Historically once PB Tech drop the price to a certain level they will do it again in a couple of months.
