  • Did you apple a certain discount code? APP10 doesn't seem to work, and it's showing AU$39.95 for me.

    • I think the code is app only and valid once per account. Just figured it out.

  • This is not a good performance model , the performance of Philips easy care onwards is good it's also cheap via eBay but you have to buy charger and head separately .

Heads of standard ie easy care on wards models are very cheap ie less then 40 cents , for a very high quality head

    • What do you mean by this? I had this particular model before upgrading and it seemed good for the price (I paid $50) to me. I think this is a good deal for anyone moving from a manual brush.

      • Yes better then manual brush , but at this same price you can buy a better one which is called easy care on eBay ,

        • Care to share a link? I can't find any easy care Philips product

Edit: Are you referring to model HX6511/6530?

    • I had a Sonicare flexcare(hx6932) which I had bought for around $180usd few years back. It had 2 brushes and travel charger with case. Both handle died after around 2-3yrs of use. So I don't know about others but it felt expensive if they don't last longer. So I thought of trying a basic version.

Frankly I never used different modes after initial trying. So I just need an electric brush as got used to it. Manual one feels weird now.

What do you think is a good model for similar price?

Similar story here. Bought the most expensive one, the diamond series, roughy cost me $350. It died after about 3 years. I went back to them asking for CGA, they won’t do. My argument was the $50-100 Philips brush has 2 year warranty, why 3x-5x times more expensive brush has exact same term. So many people had the same issue on Amazon review. But anyway, will not buy the top series again, bought a cheap $50 one instead, even if it dies in 2 years, won’t really care.

I had given platinum series Philips , to my partner , it died before all my easycare handles

Higher prices does not mean better performance or longevity at least for Philips

  • The Oral-B one is much better reviewed for less than double the cost of this one (AU $59), and has been on Cheapies several times now. I have it and am really happy with it.

I prefer pulsating vs rotating head. Also I have accessories from Philips Sonicare so I felt to go down this route. Thanks for link. Reviews are good.

    • I got Braun oral b from Germany when I moved to NZ at that time didn't knew about sonicare ,
I got the triumph series which was their top of the line product then , I noticed any 3d action oral b have the same performance no need to buy expensive handles .

2d action is better then manual brush 3d is even better as it helps in better cleaning .

Sonicare I moved on this 6 years ago it's similar if not bit better then Braun it does not have moving ( it vibrates ) part like Braun and the heads are Slimer and better and it's easy to get good quality made in china Dupont brush heads

Panasonic ones are even better but are a lot more expensive , 3rd party heads are not available easily
Need to import from Japan or Germany

But I use water flosser from Panasonic it's amazing
