Someone over at Geekzone managed to get sky starter + sky sport + mysky for $35.75 a month. Seems pretty good. Don't know much about Sky these days though. Been about 6 or so years since I had it.

Damn sky is really desperate now.

  • $35ish is about the norm now for the HD with sports when you ring the installer direct, they & other 3rd parties are often offering better deals. Wouldn't bother myself with sky satellite but my brother is happy with Sky Now(iptv).

    People still use Sky?

sky is a waste of money unless you like sport

Only good for rugby or the A-league it seems. Spark sport for the win

I have sky for my parents. For them it's simple to use and I never get called to sort out the internet etc. They then have a single mobile phone at $16 a month, and don't need broadband or a fixed line. They hotspot from the mobile to tablet if they need to.

I use Sky go from the account to watch live rugby. Also quite a few older series I've enjoyed rewatching - breaking bad, the wire, the sopranos, Seinfeld, the office, curb your enthusiasm, game of thrones

What else do you watch if you can't stand the free-to-air TV news channels?

Each to their own, if this deal works for you, then great. If not, no worries.
