By planting a tree, you neutralize 22 kg of CO2 per year (estimate). This corresponds approximately to:

  • consuming 600 g of beef or
  • eating 158 kg of vegetables or
  • a simple train journey: Cologne - Munich
  • 0.23 % of your total CO2 emissions * for life.

GROW MY TREE plants species-rich mixed forests, which consist of site-appropriate, predominantly native tree species.

We started our journey with projects in Nepal and Madagascar . Most of the plantations in Nepal are located near Pokhara. In Madagascar, trees are currently being planted in two national parks, in which habitats can be secured for endangered animal species. Other project locations are in northwest Madagascar, both on the coast and inland.

We have been working hard recently to establish new tree planting partnerships and can now support other projects in: Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda and Malawi . We are very happy to expand our reach and contribution in this way! We will shortly be introducing our new partners and the inspiring work they are doing on our blog and social media channels.

  • So basically you can do this as many times as you want, put in random fake details and submit

Get them to plant all the trees you like!!

I'd imagine that what's really happening is there's an already-funded local initiative to plant trees (or they're in the ground right now), and an international company is paying a fee to piggyback off that for PR purposes.

This kind of 'partnership' is a win-win for both parties. No harm done, but it does mean that us filling out a form doesn't really do anything except get us on a mailing list.

  • Neat! Another way to plant trees for free is through the Ecosia search engine (based in Germany too) which plants as you search the web (45 searches = 1 tree) and you can track all progress without an account. 100% of their profit from search ads go towards climate action including 80% towards tree-planting projects worldwide :)

      You get Oxygen!

is that not enough for you? :P

Thanks man! Wasn't aware Cheapies is a site where you'd find good deals on cheap or free oxygen.

    • Trees often also provide other benefits :)

  • Let's spell it out: this deal allows your brain to release dopamine, the "reward system." At it's purest level, this is like a non-substance "drug" similar to doing many pleasurable activities that allows brains to release interesting chemicals
