This is about the best VR headset you can get at the moment, although I'm sure it'll be replaced by the next best thing soon, as evidenced by it being on special.

I still recommend the Quest 2 as a wireless desktop headset over this though as that cable continues to be a pain.

Yeah no quest deals atm though :/

quest 2 is a deal with the normal price lol

        • Yup. Get the 64gb one as it's the cheapest and use it as a desktop headset.

I have this headset and visual and audio are about as good as you will get.

I own one and it's fantastic. Reviews are generally very positive too.

I have this headset, with index knuckles and lighthouses. I also have and index and an og give, and had a quest 2.

This is the best you can get at the moment, but it's still not quite there yet, the sweet spot of visual clarity is fairly small and the tracking of the controllers leaves alot to be desired. However, for Sim games, particularly driving, you don't look outside the centre as often and tend to turn your head more, so the blurriness at the edges is barely noticeable.

I got mine from Noel Leeming for $750 on special, bare headset only.

        • I've never had an issue with the tracking on mine, seems to work perfectly. Although it's my first VR headset so I have nothing to compare it to.

This reminds me I still have the Lenovo VR headset from an earlier deal this year, sitting under my bed. Thanks for the reminder OP hahah might use it tonight

    • That was last year lol. Mine had issues out of the box. That deal ended up costing me as I went out and brought a reverb G2 and high end PC. For the price the lenovo explorer was a killer deal and great introduction to VR. The reverb knocks the expolorer out of the ballpark for resolution though and the built in speakers are so much easier. Putting on the explorer and then headphones felt like getting ready to go in a fighter jet or something. That being said it's not 10 times better and I would still be happy with the expolorer and my old PC with the extra 5k in my back pocket. I never returned the expolorer as the controllers work with the reverb and the price was worth it just for the controllers.

  • I also think these have been sold out in the states for ages and hard to get your hands on.

  • For anyone with glasses like me, I came across this that you can get which is pretty neat!
