Thanks, will get some. Bought some Eneloop from Grabstore on The Market recently and had to return them because they were counterfeit. Always wise to buy Eneloop from a trustworthy seller like Noel Leeming or PB Tech.

Yeah what is it with The Market and the dodgy stores they allow on there? Apart from the counterfeit goods that are on there some stores sell products for 300% higher than rrp. Case in point https://themarket.com/nz/p/ps4-resident-evil-3-game/5223-708…

How long ago did you get your counterfeits? I got some on 17th December via Grabstore's TradeMe listings. They assured me they stopped selling them and had secured some genuine stock after I pointed out to them they were fake.

      • +1

Bought them last week. They are fairly good fakes, most people wouldn't notice. But the lack of embossed date code is the giveaway as well as a few small differences in the packaging and the form factor of the cells.

        • Are they fakes? Or they meant for another country? Does it hold a charge? Sorry for the questions I've never seen a battery been counterfeited before

          • +1

@Rayzajw: Yep definitely fakes. There are various YouTube videos and websites (e.g. Eneloop101) that explain how to tell the difference. The Market accepted the return no problem, but fairly annoyed at Grabstore for passing these off as the real thing. If I wanted fake Eneloops I'd just buy them from Aliexpress at a fraction of the price.

      • Wow. I got scared for a second cause i picked some up late November on the market, luckily it was Noel Leeming. I've spotted that too on the market. Maybe i should try make a store with only 100% mark-up (im joking btw). I wonder what kind of checks and what you need to do enter "the market".

so are you the bot that is killing all the market codes that wakrak finds?

        • +1

          Hi There,

No, I am not a bot or have removed any of the codes posted. All codes have limited timeframes which are often showed where the coupon was first issued. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

          Thanks

For NL, can be cheaper if you follow method listed here (use at your own risk).

    7.98 / 15.31 / 18.16 / 22.97 / 48.22

Also the main account (over premium) is cheaper for eneloops

It's a bugger you can't change 'membership type' for an acc. Guess I better create another one 💵

        Edit: 7.45 / 14.29 / 16.95 / 21.44 / 45.01 (I think)

        • Wow, and I thought I was slick getting a 4pk for 99c (with Mastercard $20 code). Now if only I could use the birthday coupon online with these prices (seems instore-only now)

          • @NeM2k2: What is the MasterCard $20 code? thanks.
            I couldn't find it anywhere.

            • @Soulcore: They ran a promo where if you spent more than $100 on your Mastercard they sent you a $20 gift card. It's one use only sorry

Thanks heaps for this, you saved me a bunch on these today.

    • Picked my order up today, no questions asked. Thanks man!

  • Remember these are only 800mAh capacity (950mAh for the Pro). Bunnings has the Energizer AAA rechargeables for $19.94 and these are 2450mAh capacity https://www.bunnings.co.nz/energizer-rechargeable-aaa-batter…. "In general, the more mAh and the longer the battery capacity or battery life".

    • Nah, the Bunnings description is wrong. The Energiser AAA are only 800mAH, same as the Eneloop. Higher capacity is only really useful if you use in a high drain device immediately after charging. Eneloop have much better charge retention so generally outlast others in most cases. Also they last forever. I have Eneloop from 2007 that still have full capacity. They'll probably outlast me and be passed on to my kids!

    • Sorry everyone. Looks like the description on the Bunnings website is incorrect, as the picture shows 800mAh. And come to think of it, yes, I've never seen a AAA battery have a capacity of 2450mAh as well!

  • Panasonic make Tesla batteries by the way

  • I only checked the pros, but cheaper at PBTech anyway - standard price there.

    https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/BATPAN6616/Panasonic-BK-3HC…

    • $23 using a business account

  • $17 using Farmlands card at Noel Leemings btw. (For 4xAA Premiums)
