Comments

  • might be freight damaged box units hence sold without boxes/cartons but its a great price

    • I reckon Makita was well over-stocked and gave the Toolshed a great price but they were only allowed to sell without the box to avoid reselling them or marking them up.
A place I worked for did something similar, needed the components (for example the 18v batteries) but were struggling to sell the entire kit, so broke them down and made a deal with a store for the components which weren't selling well.

      • I remember going into EB Games many years ago when Signstar on the Playstation 2 was all the rage. The staff there were opening up the boxed singstar sets (Singstar game plus two mics) and putting them out to be sold separately.

      • maybe youre right
i wish makita nz would do decent promos for tradies (instead of vacuum cleaners and outdoor tools) and maybe release some more useful/functional tools too. still hasn't released a brushless multi tool or a jig saw that doesn't need an allen key to change the angle🤦‍♂️
