I bought a genuine apple cable from PB tech for over $50 and ordered a couple of these from 1-day.co.nz for under $20 each, the 1-day cable came without packing/box and nothing indicates they are genuine apple products, one of them intermittently doesn't work, buy at your own risk.

I ended up going to PBTech to get these 2 today for my parents. They work fine and are way more durable compared to the original lightning cable.

Not sure if these are genuine. I Googled the product code "MD819ZM/A", which is found on their webpage, and autocomplete immediately returns "MD819ZM/A fake". Also, I just get results for the same cable on Ebay. While the Ebay review rating is high, I read a lot of comments about how it broke or that it doesn't work. And here is one from Amazon:
