I got an email saying that Adobe had released a scaled-down free version of its Lightroom software for the NZ and Australian markets. I don't know much about the software and what it can do, but it's free.

Features

Light, Colour, Sharpening, and Crop tools
Non-Destructive raw editing
Access to over 90 presets and profiles
Store and organise your full photo library locally
Massive library of in-app interactive tutorials to build your skills
Get inspired and download presets from the Lightroom community

Does not Feature:

Healing Brush, Selective Edits, Geometry adjustments
Texture, Clarity and Vignette
Batch Editing, Colour Grading, Shared Albums
HDR and Panorama Merge
Mobile editing: Access & edit full resolution photos across devices with same tools available on desktop
Cloud storage: All images and edits automatically synced and backed up to the cloud

  Haven't tried it yet. But it only has limited features. I guess it'll be similar to the light room app on mobile with limited features?

  The starter version seems more like just another app that can open a RAW file, crop the image and save the changes. And a little bit of library management. No availability to any of the photo touching tools. Not really worth the effort.
  The same functionality and more are usually available with the bundled SW from your camera manufacturer. I regularly use Canon Digital Photo Professional(Free for Canon SLR owners).

  how you enable starter? I installed new version but no mention about Starter plan anywhere?

  This is an excellent app and a great introductory to lightroom with plenty of Video tutorials.The tools it does provide are more efficient than a lot of the other free apps and give a much better result.For instance sharpening and noise reduction are very quick and has very little lag unlike a lot of the other free apps.
