    It'll work, but I would not recommend using a 720p Veon TV as a monitor. Surely you could get an actual second hand monitor for a similar price?

    no. text could look quite fuzzy since the PPI is pretty low. you can get proper 1080p monitors for around 100$ new and even cheaper than this second hand.

      Thanks for all of the comments. I have a 24 (?) inch monitor. Older and the resolution must be low as text does look much worse than on my laptop. Just need extra screen real estate sometimes.

        Make sure you aren't using an analog connection. Use dvi or hdmi.

  I meant to come back and thank the OP for posting this deal. I purchased one for the wall in the bedroom and it’s fantastic. Plugged in a Fire TV Stick, powered by the TV USB port and it hasn’t missed a beat. It was a hard case, I added a pkt of Lifesaver lollies to qualify for the code, and they turned up on their own, 3 days after the TV. Btw these TVs are now $229, so this was a great deal.
