Have been looking at a cheapish soundbar for a while to augment my TV's 'okay' 10x2 speakers, seems like a good deal to me :)

Lowest it's ever been. I bought it for $675 2 months ago which I thought was a good deal then. Has Dolby Atmos, if your TV supports it
Yeah point taken but its only $230, if I had a better setup(room, tv etc) Id put a bit more money into it.
Buy a HW-T550 from The Market - using their 10% off it works out to be around $335 and is a lot more soundbar for your money!
Yeah, that's what I thought. Regrets all round for me, but YMMV. My point was that you really need to try before you buy with the low (or even mid-) end stuff.
Save your cash and get one off Trade Me, if you're in Auckland there's a brand new Samsung R450 on there for $180 ($449 on The Market)
Beware cheap soundbars, I picked up an LG one for around this price on special and it was rubbish. At least as bad as the TV speakers, quite possibly worse. And I've heard (after the fact) that the low end of the soundbar market is like that.
If you can, try one out before you buy.
