Haha, yeah. This being the exception seen as they are honouring the first 20 that were ordered. Bearing in mind that Container Door's business model is very different from other retailers, it is more believable.
Why would you promote a second one, and set a container limit, if you didn't expect the demand?

I just called them and looks like they stuffed up on their end. They should have set a container limit for the 2nd batch run and they didn't. They took in way more orders than they were wanting, so now they've hidden the deal for the 2nd run.
Apparently, our order hasn't been cancelled (yet) and they will fulfill them IF they receive enough stock from their supplier. Assuming there is enough stock, they will fulfill the orders based on a first come first serve basis. First batch run was for 20 orders if I'm not mistaken. So I'm guessing if your order number for the 2nd batch run is e.g. 21, you'd probably have a high chance of getting your order fulfilled.
Seems like that is the case, I just received a confirmation email on my order…

Unrelated, but I've purchased an opened box Sony WF-1000XM3 from Ebay recently at only $245 NZD. Normally they cost $350+. The listing shows that it's brand new, but opened box. When I received it, there was no box, but it came with all the original accessories and everything is new. No scratches or scuffs or anything. All the earbud tips are new, everything. I took a risk buying from Ebay but the reward paid off.
My point is, even if it was an open box, as long as it's new then I don't mind. You can't even get the XM4 2nd hand at $400 anyway.

Yip I got the same confirmation email this morning… I honestly can't wait until I get these. I had the XM3's for a while and loved them, however when I went back to work at the office then I wasn't using them much so flicked them off again.
But I'll definitely be keeping these… no way will I be able to get them new again at this price… at least not any time soon anway!

Yea I do and I love it. I also own a pair of Bose QC35 II and prefer the Sony over the Bose. I use it to block out noises at work and it is super effective. One of the best investments I've ever made. The XM4 at this price is gonna be an even better investment for sure

I might be alone here but man, I find Castle Parcels are consistently useless. Headphones arrived in Wellington on Friday midday, but presumably still just sitting at the depot as no progress on tracking since then. It's very rare that I seem to get good service from a Freightways owned company. Regardless I'm glad others are speaking good things about the headphones! Hope I can enjoy them soon.
Based off the reviews online people aren't too happy with their service… Fortunately they got mine to me overnight, but so they should when I'm 5 minutes away from the depot. Hope they get to you soon!
After a quick phone call and a nudge this morning, they were in my letterbox just after midday! The headphones are fantastic, in both nose canceling and sound quality. Couldn't be happier. Hope you are enjoying yours :)

@snowflake: Can you specify a few more details around this? Perhaps even a screenshot if applicable? Curious to know and compare.
@Moodkiller: Sure thing - I found some previously recommended settings for the XM3s and tweaked it for the XM4s. This is what I'm using at the moment and it really changes the experience entirely. You can further tweak it (especially the bass) to your liking. Important to note that when in NC mode the headphones are more bassy than with it off, so this EQ is more for when you're using NC. @snowflake: You are a gentleman and a scholar! Thank you very much for the tips and image. I will give it a go and adjust accordingly and report back if necessary. I did read about your comment that NC on it's own adjusts the sound and some people just toggle that off/on as quick and dirty method.

So, I've just received mine today and updated to the latest firmware. According to Reddit, the latest firmware has improved active noise cancelling even more than before, which is good.
First impression, the ANC on the XM4 is definitely better than my old XM3. It's better on cancelling out lower frequency. Sound quality is good, just like XM3. The clamping force around my head does feel a bit tighter though, not sure if it's because it's brand new and just hasn't been stretched yet, but yeah it does feel slightly less comfortable than my XM3 for now.
Everything else seems to be good. The talk to chat feature feature is nice so that you don't have to put your hand around the right side of the headphone if you want to hear people talk. You can just talk and it will disable ANC. However, I find this a bit annoying sometimes especially if you are just coughing or maybe talking to yourself (like swearing occassionally while you're working on something annoying, which I do that often). Even on the lowest sensitivity, it still detects my voice and disables ANC. I ended up turrning it off.
Other than that, everything seem to be the same as my XM3. The multi-pairing on this works well as well and is a worthy feature to upgrade to.
I've been using my XM4 for a while now and I felt that it's slightly less comfortable than my XM3. The clamping force on the XM4 is stronger around my ears and so it makes it a bit uncomfortable if I wear for a long period of time - which I often do. Whereas my XM3 feels light and is really comfy even after wearing for long periods of time. Kinda makes me a bit annoyed that they downgraded comfort on the XM4. Even when I slightly adjust the headphone position, I could hear this sort of decompress sound and that's due to the earpad being removed from my ear when I adjust the headphone position. I guess this does make a tighter seal around your ear for improved noise cancellation, but it's just uncomfortable compared to the XM3. I also came across a forum that discussed the clamping force on the XM4 vs the XM3 and so I'm not the only one. Anyway, just sharing my thoughts on this, but otherwise a decent upgrade for the price. I might end up keeping my XM3 after all…
Just received mine this morning here in Chch. Delivered by Castle Parcels and was worried because I've heard horror stories about them but it got here fine. Shipped on Monday arvo and got it Wed morning. Happy with my purchase and gonna use it a bit before selling off my XM3s.
