For me it’s the bigger battery and larger dustbin that sold it. Also, the dustbin release mechanism looks quite good. My V6 has been amazing but it’s several years old now and struggles to do the whole house on one charge. https://moderncastle.com/vacuum-cleaner-reviews/dyson-v6-vs-…

Don't forget to but multiple spare overpriced filters and batteries because they are utter crap. 6-9 months and the battery is gone, then they last about 4 minutes on medium speed.
They are really food with warranty, so if your battery goes within 2 years they replace. Filters are washable too…
When you wash your filter (which MUST be done at least once a week because its stupidly small), you can't vacuum for over 24 hours until the filter completely dries (and I mean BONE dry). So you need at least one spare clean filter. You can only wash them so many times, then they disintegrate. And the battery always dies in the first year, so you WILL have to dick around with customer support to get a battery… once you send them video proof (that is what they asked for). And then, you have to pull your new vacuum apart to install a battery. And then it dies again anyway and you're out of warranty. Oh, and the filter O-rings eventually fail and the 'squeeling balloon' noise begins. Not to mention, its just not a very good vacuum anyway! That's just my dyson experience.

Maybe its just you. Have a v8 going strong. Have a multitude of other dysons, some many years old all going well.
Disagree. Batteries are going strong for me and filters are water washed.
Our V8 has been going strong for the last two years, I bought some 3rd party filters from Amazon, great vacuum.
That's a good price. I got the V8 animal a few months ago for $600 but would've got this one if this was the price.
Looks like it's all gone at JB though.

Batteries used in these Dyson are normally high discharge 18650 Li-ion cells. They are soldered in series so if one cells stops working, all other cells stop working. If one capacity gets lower, the run time gets lower. There are people like me who buy these "dead" high discharge batteries, great for repacking into batteries or DIY an electric skateboard
