Good deal if you missed out on the nest minis.
Anyone have any feedback on these? We haven't tried these smart speakers yet. We have lots of wireless speakers…. does it have much more to offer for everyday use?
Whats everyone's thoughts on these devices? Gimmicky or actually quite handy?
Alexa is a bit dumber than Google Assistant. But it's been around longer so there are more compatible devices, plus integration with Amazon.com for purchases and delivery updates.
I use it mostly for home automation and alarms, and they both can play music via your bluetooth speakers. It's nice that we now have decent options with Bunnings' Grid range of affordable hard-wired smart devices.
Honestly, I don't use Alexa, I use google assistant. I have them littered around the whole house for a budget Sonos system as it can all play in sync as a speaker group. Picked these up as a gift for a mate just getting into smart home, they all work really well if you use them with other smart devices, such as switches and lights
If you have a android phone (integrated App)Google home winns hands down in this country as Alexa offers few services here.Alex does read your Amazon books to you and of course audio books though.
Thank you everyone. Looks like google is the one to go for if I’m serious. Might wait for google deals then. Thank you.
