  • Damn, sold out already. Bad luck if you missed out!

FYI sold out also includes in cart, so refresh and you might get lucky.

  • Good to see a reasonable price for this, didn't snag one this time, but it'll be this low again.

  • I see a few places putting this on sale, assume they're clearing out for the next model

Thank you for your recent order of the Google Nest Hub Charcoal
We have been advised that there was a slight description error in our recent product listing of this item. The listing stated that the Google Nest Hub Charcoal was the Google Nest Hub MAX version however they are in fact the Google Nest Hubs. Please let us know if you wish to cancel and refund your order. If you wish to proceed with this order you don’t need to reply to this email.

Lol just read that. Somebody f'ed up.

    • So they don't have to honour it? Guess it's like when the petrol stations put the decimal in the wrong place?

      • +2

Interestingly they’re letting you proceed with the sale when the $220 price users have paid is Above the RRP

        • That would seem to border on misleading territory…

        • +2

The RRP they listed was the MAX rrp as well. So it was a total screw up.
I told them to refund and also mentioned that is was a horribly expensive price for a normal hub.

          • @Monk: It’s actually above the RRP in NZ.
Any buyers who go ahead and say “yes” to continue their purchase are being ripped off…

Or, maybe they just ran out of stock and are looking for a way to weed buyers out - can’t think why else they’d charge more than retail.

@Coolbro: No way they're selling the Nest Hub Max at close to half the RRP, or above RRP for the old Nest Hub. And their job is to precisely manage inventory as some items on their site sell out within minutes.

The price and the placement of the product on its front page made me think that there was a serious cock-up in their office; I think someone really thought they were selling Nest Hub Maxes, until he/she had a look at the inventory.

              • +1

@Avantime: Yes I thought I purchased the max hub until I received their email this afternoon and yes it wasn't a slight error as it clearly stated the full retail price for Max hub and the picture. It all sounds a bit fishy.

    • I didn't get that email?! Very bizarre - I purchased from their direct email which said hub max and the description also says:

      Whats in the box:
1 x Google Nest Hub Max (Charcoal)
      1 x Power Adapter

      • Good luck. But I think they don’t have any Max versions at all. They stuffed it up at an initial stock level and don’t really understand the product.

        • don’t really understand the product

Spot on right there. Just like how some managed to snag 2x Mini Nest for only $44 by doing a pricematch.

Cancelled my order this morning only to find out that it already been processed.Very efficient for something that doesn't exist and now I have to go through the return and refund process.

    • Yeah - mine was shipped too…

    • Wow I didn't expect 1-day to be this incompetent…..I Emailed a refund request straight away, got a reply confirming the refund last night, and now I got an Email stating that the product has been dispatched.

    • Same thing happened to me. Last time they decided to ship an item that was substantially less valuable to me when the item they advertised was listed with the wrong details. Went through a week of annoying refund process. They only told me that the item was listed incorrectly after i received it in the mail.

    • Confirmed the cancellation yesterday and just received shipping email too…hopefully would be shipping label printed only.

They confirmed cancellation and refund yesterday and my Google home arrived this morning

Well this is the best deal ever posted on cheapies then.
Where are all my internet points?!???!

          • @Monk: Haven't seen the money yet so they might send another email .So there might be more disappointment yet.

        • Have u received the refund?

          • @L3tstaxth1s: I have not received a refund. Only a tracking ticket - which I presume is just part of their processing and was not actually sent.

  • I got Google nest 7 inch display in 2018 for 125 nzd approx with shipping from eBay USA

  • FYI they will be asking people to return the items.

    • Never had a retailer asking for stuff back. Wonder how thats going to play out?

      • They are trying to return shipping while in transit.

    • Has anyone received their Nest hubs?

      • I got mine.
They haven’t been very responsive toy emails about the return/refund process

        • Same. The courier delivered it to the wrong address, fortunately the neighbour called me up.

I have received no further contact from their team since last Thursday, and the best the live chat people could do is to "pass it on".

  • Anyone manage to return theirs yet - they don't seem to be replying to emails…

    • Don't bother coolbro. If you have the refund then it's their job to get the product back, not yours. If they do request it back, then they should organise a courier pick up.

I would leave sealed until you are comfortable keeping the device.

      • Have you received a refund?
