Placemakers retail stuff is so over priced, its basically another briscoes, really high prices so they can offer the builders "trade" prices or discounts off the store price. Walking in as a retail shopper or buying online without an account loaded with discounts is a good way to get fleeced.
Their stores are like ghost towns, I swear the one time I popped in to the Wairau Park store (just for curiosity) I was the only customer in the store.
I would hate to only have Placemakers as my only local store.

Tried in NL Queen st store Auckland. Advised wouldnt price match the Gulp cord as it was an online only price.
Just FYI in case anyone was thinking of doing this.

you can also get the same model for a similar price ($80-90), or cheaper ones on gearbest/aliX if you can wait for shipping of course.
Its $10 delivery to everywhere except Auckland. Deal breaker for me unfortunately.
