  Dyson really need to up their warranty (two years I believe) for these battery powered vacuum cleaners if they want to sell them at these prices.
  My v6 battery died within 6 months and it doesn't really inspire confidence to invest in a thousand dollar model if they are more or less the same battery tech.

  Any know expected battery life overall? Not per charge. Like under consumer garentees act?

    2 out of 10 from consumer reports for reliability despite offering 5 year warranty in the states and less expensive there.

      2 out of 10 for predicted reliability.

      Although that article mentions most issues with rollers etc after two years, so likely why the 2 year warranty.

    I should not have to change a $800 stick vac every 2 years, so it should be 5 years cover under the NZ consumer guarantees act, just IMO.

  Don’t worry about the warranty,
  Dyson customer service is excellent and will replace the battery for free even after the warranty period
