The Market has just launched their Black Friday coupons, which stack with all their other Black Friday deals. Go to their home page and scroll to the bottom to claim them.

For even more savings, it's worth noting that you can stack the Black Friday deals of retailers on The Market (Noel Leeming, The Warehouse, etc.) with coupons issued by The Market, AND the cashback from ShopRewards. There is also a free trial for The Market Club, which gives you free shipping on your order as well as three months of Neon (a streaming service like Netflix), which in turn stacks with the Neon 14 day free intro offer.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals.

  • Any idea if this stacks with cashbacks?

    • I have only used cashback at The Market once, and it was based on the final price I actually paid. So, yes, unless anyone has had a different experience.

This means you can effectively stack the discounts from retailers on The Market with coupons from The Market and the cashback from ShopRewards.

    • Yes, it can be stacked with cashback from ShopRewards.

  • Why can I find no single Nintendo Switch at the market even though the Warehouse and Noel Leeming do sell them??

    • I can only see the lite version. Maybe ask them in the live chat?

Anyone know of they do price beating or matching?

      • I suspect they charge a premium to groups not part of The Warehouse Group (like Uber Eats charges a premium on food orders on top of delivery), which means shops only sell a subset of their products.

        Not sure about price matching.

EDIT: I just talked to their live chat. "no we do not offer price matching sorry."

    • I'm hoping EB Games have some Switch deals when their deals go live at 9pm

dont forget ADDAMS25 for $25 off $99 is valid till 13th December.

  • I wonder if the neon stacks on to the 3 months being offered with a Chromecast. Could end up getting 6.5 months for the price of a Chromecast if they stack right.

    • I think it would depend on how the Chromecast deal is offered. The Neon subscription 3 month bonus from The Market came in the form of what's effectively a referral link, so if the Chromecast deal was also such a link I doubt you could stack them.

Then again, you could always sign up to The Market with a second phone number, grab another free trial of their premium subscription, and use it to grab another 3 months of Neon.

      • Reading the fine print it looks like a similar sign up referral type deal. It's probably rather just get the ultra and free neon trial instead of they won't stack.

Neon Subscription: 3 Months. Customer to register via https://clicktime.symantec.com/3QZcAUM9AffSysLtfoATdSU7Vc?u=…. Unique access code to provision 3 months subscription will be issued post purchase, via separate email communication. Code to be activated by 31st December 2019. To sign up to NEON, you will need a valid email address, credit card and be 18 years or older. After the 3-months promotion period is up, you will roll over to a monthly package and standard charges will apply. The promo code cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Standard NEON Terms and Conditions apply: https://www.neontv.co.nz/terms-conditions.

  • I just got a Nintendo Switch from The Warehouse. It did get added to The Market but decided in the end it was too much hard work going through The Market for the same exact thing. Would have potentially got $50 off by finding another $21 to spend (I struggled) but no pickup for items over $400, then having to gamble on delivery time when I am going overseas and wanted this for it made it tricky.

Thanks, used my $30 coupon to get a Sonos One SL for $239 (plus potentially $6-7 back via ShopRewards cashbacks). Normally around $319, Sonos gear not discounted too often, so it's a good buy.

Soon after ordering I got an email from The Market saying I'd been drawn as a Black Friday winner and they'd added a $50 coupon to my account (minimum spend $51). Bonus!

    • I just got an email that I had won a TV, Chromecast and Neon subscription! Black Friday winner as well.

  • Noel Leeming have now price-matched the WH-1000XM3 price from Harvey Norman on the Market. So with the $30 discount code, the total is $367 which is really good for NZ.

    • Just saw them as $308 delivered, on catch.co.nz?

      • Yeah purchased them in black on The Mall literally 5 mins beforehand…. Rang up Catch to see if they would do the same price for the black. If so, I’m getting a refund haha!

        • +1

The issue with Catch is that they are in Australia, so you will have more work to do with any returns or warranty claims. Also, there will be GST levied on all purchases from overseas from Dec 1 so I would expect the price to rise then.

  • Heya, I never purchase from The Market yet… actually i did, but only a on Friday, so I haven't receive the parcel yet. I am wondering do they come with invoice from the shop?
I am planning to purchase from the market …… via Noel Leeming shop… but I need the invoice number from Noel Leeming so I can redeem bonus items from the manufacturer (samsung). And Samsung page said only from authorised shop i.e. Noel Leeming, Harvey Norman etc (No The Market) on it.
So long story short… does Noel Leeming ship out the item? Does it comes with a printed invoice FROM Noel Leeming? I cant redeem it if its from The Market. Thanks guys.

    • +1

The items are shipped directly from the shops, so it is up to the shop what they include with the item. I have bought a phone from Warehouse Stationary which came with all the paperwork, but I have also bought a soccer kit from Toyco which came with nothing but the goods in the package.

If your phone does not come with an invoice number from Noel Leeming, get in touch with either Noel Leeming or The Market live chat teams (through their respective websites) during business hours. They are incredibly helpful and will try to help you out.

Think of The Market like a Trademe, but only for businesses.

      • Thank you @Dutch. Incredibly helpful. I just don't know for the sake of $29 cashback advantage (through ShopRewards)… if its worth risking it. Lol.
If I can't get to redeem the manufacturer bonus item… I am losing out much bigger…..
        Decision decision….

        • What is the bonus item you are thinking of getting? I ask as from what I recall the only redemption Samsung currently has on phones not bought directly through the Samsung store is that battery pack with the A series models.

Thought I'd mention that in case you were hoping to redeem the watch or something and left disappointed.

          • @Dutch: Im actually getting the Active2 Watch … then redeem the Wireless Battery pack rrp100+ (i think).

I can get it for $645 from Harvey Norman.

But from the Market… I can get it at $649 (via Noel Leeming + $50 black friday TheMarket Voucher)
And then about $29 cashback from Shop Rewards.

So I can just get it from Harvey Norman guaranteed everything will go smoothly and not think about the $29 cash back… But I am tight. Lol.

            • @Alias: Ah I see your dilemma. Nothing wrong with being tight when purchasing expensive tech, as lots of companies will happily rip you off. It feels good to get a low price on stuff.

You will have to choose the option that's best for you of course, but some things I might add:

              • Harvey Norman offers another $5 off when you sign up to their news letter (like Noel Leeming's $10 off offer)
              • Sometimes Shop Rewards takes a LONG time before it makes your funds available. Usually at least until the return period for the product has passed.
              • New shop rewards accounts get a bonus $5 in their account, able to be withdrawn once you have total account value of $20 (which you would achieve here).

              Good luck!

            • +1

@Alias: I found you another retailer (PBTech) for that watch which is even cheaper: $632.50

              https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MPHSAM08210/Samsung-Galaxy-…

These guys are also one of the official retailers for the sake of claiming your battery pack.

              • +1

@Dutch: Omgosh! You just made my night! Lol. Thanks.
I think I can happily pull the trigger now.

                • @Alias: You sound like me. Bird in the hand vs 2 in the bush. I could have saved more money via The Market but sometimes it just more satisfying to ensure you got a deal rather than take a risk for a slightly better deal. Happy consumerism!

  • Whats the deal with the free neon? Do you have to pay to get it as i can't seem anyway of getting it with free trial.

    • No, it is free with your free trial. From memory I got an email when I signed up for the trial which has referral links to all the offers, including the Neon subscription. I followed the link, made an account, and it is free until late Feb 2020.

      • Thanks for the reply. I cant find any such email. I did find some terms on the website saying you must redeem before 30th November yet they are still advertising it.
