Toshiba 58 inch 4K HDR Ultra HD Smart TV $799 (save $500) at The Warehouse

The Warehouse have started their Black Friday sale a day early and have this 58” 4K HDR Toshiba TV on sale for a really enticing price. It's not often you see 4K TV's of this size, with high dynamic range, available this cheaply.

I strongly recommend staying away from Toshiba TV's. We bought three 58" Toshibas from The Warehouse in 2017 for our business. 2 of them popped (black screen, burning smell). It took months for The Warehouse to resolve as well. They ended up giving us Veons after we mentioned Fair Go.

I have exactly this model, from last time it dropped to $799. It’s excellent for the money, and more than good enough for most people.
    My only gripes are:
    • TV is actually a rebadged “Skyworth Globe”, and support for brand-specific apps is lacking
    • No 3.5mm (headphone) port
    • The picture menu can’t be accessed when viewing content through Android TV - you need to adjust on one input for all
    • Difficulty connecting time Google Home - can be fixed by manually uninstalling updates from “Chromecast Built In”
    • Unable to access ADB
    • Netflix app flickers on HDR previews, and has done for every version of the app

Picture quality is excellent, and input lag seems minimal. If you can justify more, there are better for a little under double the money. If you’re budget conscious, I’d happily recommend this model.

    • Thank you for the thorough input/review! 😊

    • Seems like a good choice if you connect it to another device ie. Mibox, shield TV alike
