  • Parking at the ASB Showgrounds will cost you $5 for the first two hours, then $2 per hour.

  • +5

There are no deals in this post. Should this move to forum?

  • Are there actually any good deals at these? If so, can I get some examples?

  • +2

It's often mostly old stock they haven't been able to get rid off at their normal sales and clearance branches over the year - you need to check things like specs very carefully to make sure you're buying what you think your buying, but the prices can be quite good if it is what you're looking for.

The email gives these few examples:

    • 32" TVs from $168
    • Kettles from $9
    • Washing Machines from $298
    • Computers from $298
    • Chromecasts from $48
    • Fridges from $495

but there will be a lot more.

No doubt there will be adverts in the newspapers and on TV giving more examples on Thursday (maybe Wednesday).

It can be an absolute nightmare on the Saturday and Sunday though with all the "bargain hunters" going there.

  • btw: park in cornell park and walk across if you dont want to pay for parking - or just take public transport

Good luck taking a new 80" TV or clothes dryer home on the bus. ;-)

      • +3

Likewise with getting either of those things in a car

    • Or go "yum cha"

    • Seriously, unless you want to buy something big, avoid on-site parking.

  • Do Harvey norman or jbhifi price match the sale price? Better to get it that way to avoid rush and parking headache?

    • +1

If i remember correctly, none of those stores have an official price match policy so it would really be up to the sales rep since I have had them price match items before.
I was able to get PB Tech to price match something with this Noel Leeming ASB showground price 2 years ago but it did take a great deal of convincing lol. I was at ASB showground in the morning so I had a picture but I only decided that I wanted to buy it later on when I've already gone home and just couldnt be bothered driving back to the showground again.

    • In my experience they don't, but you are welcome to try.

  • Interested in buying an e-reader like kindle/kobo etc. Any idea if they mark these down or better off waiting for BF sales?

  • Planning to get a new TV, not sure if it will fit in my hatchback :)

    • They do home delivery usually ~$40

    • Looking to find a bargain on Samsung 65" tv. Even harvey norman is having a sale. Make sure to check both before buying

      • +1

Yea, will check out jb and Harvey before purchasing. I'm looking at Sony x95g

        • Do check samsung qled q75r which is better and in similar price range.

          • @ace310: Just had a look, will go for whichever that's cheaper/better UX

      • Samsung Tvs dont support DTS sound if its relevant to you

        • Most annoying thing they ever did ! Now all my old DTS mkv's need converting :(

        • I know. But I am not a fan of sony's android os. Also, like the smart things support on Samsung.

      • The Noel Leeming website for the sale is advertising a TCL 65" Ultra High Definition Android TV for $1,391. (Currently it's available as an "online only" deal.)

  • If anyone is there already or going to be soon, can you take a picture or post what deals they have on the various dyson stick vac, thanks!

  • Anyone out there please post any samsung tv deals please. Thanks.
