Countdown Pharmacies now offer FREE* prescriptions Nationwide**!

*No $5 standard subsidised prescription charge per item payable. Other charges relating to co-payment to specialist's, dentist's prescription, funded, partially funded and non-funded items may apply.

In summary for FULLY subsidised items:
-prescriptions written by your GP/ public hospital = FREE
-prescriptions written by specialist, dentist, private hospital = $10/item (CD is offering $5 off, as it is usually $15/item) OR FREE if you have a valid community services card

**This offer currently excludes their Invercargill store (TBA), but is available at 29 pharmacies nationwide.

      Free prescriptions was only offered in Auckland (so yes you are correct if you're in Auckland). But it is now on offer nationwide. :)

      It actually went up to $5 for a little while, so it's good to see it being free again

    The Ad seems to be from the mailer https://shop.countdown.co.nz/shop/content/weeklymailer#, so it may expire at the end of July.

    What if you have your medication put in a blister pack? What are countdowns charges?

      You'll have to pay for the blister packs. Ring your local CD pharmacy for charges

      bargain chemist do blister packs along with free prescriptions (pretty good deal)
