  Why do these ISPs insist on sending their own "free" router but then charging $15 delivery? I have my own business grade router and so far have accumulated 3 ISP routers for $45 that are just sitting in their boxes unopened.

  Yes, most people want the "free" router but why not give the option not to have it?

  It's not very "green" to keep sending out all these items destined for landfill.

    I suspect the $15 is to cover the cost of the router (although they claim it's for the shipping and handling).

      To cover the cost of the router, and if you do encounter problems how do you expect ISPs to support an unknown product when investigating? Easier for them to say plug in the approved router for testing 😉
