You might want to be quick however, at $5 a bag I'm not sure how long this deal will last.
AFAIK some items are discounted across multiple stores (e.g. Red Bull 2 for $5) but probably not for the nuggets, as $5 is the cheapest I've ever seen and it probably indicates a short dated or discontinued item.
The Cheese nuggets are certainly not in stock at the Omriston store.
Red Bulls are not 2 for $5 at my local Pak n Save, they were last week however ;p The plot thickens. I wish I understood how Pak n Save pricing worked. Even in my region the specials are so widely different.
It depends on whether you're in the north or south island, as the supermarket chains have 2 different distribution systems for the 2 islands. Also the store managers at PaknSave tend to have wider discretion over what additional items they can put on special, compared to New World and Countdown. This is why I specifically noted the Sylvia Park store.
If you have a look at the PaknSave website you can see that neighbouring stores have some identical items on special, but not others.
@Avantime: Worth noting, that like New World, PaknSave are individually owned. So each owner can choose what they do.
Friend who worked at PAK'n'SAVE told me each store individually negotiated prices from their suppliers, but prices are also influenced by the larger stores in their region (each PAK'n'SAVE behaves like a competitor with other PAK'n'SAVEs in their region). Hence why they can have significant variability in stock and price between stores.

I saw Ingham Chicken Nuggets (Cheese) 800g for $5 in Wairau Park. Near the front end of the frozen section.
Not sure about Fish Bite though.
