$1 PS4 and Xbox 360 Games @ EB Games

Moved to Forum: Original Link

So EB games has a heap of games on for between 1 dollar and 7 dollars for a Christmas thing. Problem is, they're all sold out. The good news is if you go to a Warehouse they will* price match. I had a few managers at different Warehouses all stumble with this but all ultimately said they'd do it. Helps to be polite. Good luck

They dont have to price match if the item is not in stock. Just so you know

Yeah thats what I thought but it went through 3 different managers and all of them said they weren't happy to, but they would.

That's interesting. I've never had luck with items that were not in stock. This is from their policy > "You’ll need to find the same (exact) stocked item from a NZ based retailer and provide proof of price (i.e. a copy of a mailer, quote, press ad, screenshot etc.)."

  • Wish I'd known about these deals earlier!

If they're anything like the PC games on the site, they were almost all out of stock on the 19th of last month.

They dont price match if not in stock.

  • The only $1 games in stock:
    No Man's Sky
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind Archivist Pack
    NBA 2K15

Is OP suggesting that managers disregard this specified condition with their price match policy?

No, OP is suggesting that the definition of “stocked item” was not clear enough for several different managers to decline me from purchasing games that definitely said out of stock on EBs site. I had this exact discussion with a dude working in the electronics area and he said he’d go to his managers to check. Came back and said both of them said it was all good. Give it a crack.. Worst case they say no

  • Only a few of the games show in stock. I didn't find any interesting. But do have a look, you might want one of those.

Thanks for the post OP, im going to give it a go tonight.

    • Let us know how it goes

      • Tried it at two Warehouses (manukau and clendon) they didn't even have stock of the games i wanted.

        • You can check the stores stock availability using their mobile app, or ask the store where you were at to check for you.
