Further 10% off is available with a Container Door referral code. Do not post your referral codes in the comments, they will be deleted.

Pretty good deal on this Xiaomi scooter! Includes GST, and shipping is $3.60. Can also pickup. The same one used by big scooter sharing companies like Bird, Lime, etc

"Capable of travelling up to 25 km/h with a range of 30kms, the Xiaomi m365 is packed full of features such as integrated headlights, brake lights, eABS anti-lock regenerative brakes, BMS battery management system, thumb throttle, kick start ignition and air filled tyres - on top of all this it’s just a hell of a lot of fun to ride!

Simple to manoeuvre, the scooter turns easily and feels both natural and responsive while 8.5-inch air filled tyres give a smooth comfortable ride.

The 250 W front drive motor gives more than enough grunt for getting around town and handles hills with ease while the regenerative braking system tops up the 280W battery pack as you apply the front brake."

Made from aircraft-grade aluminium and weighing only 12.5kgs, one of the key features that make this little puppy so handy is the folding mechanism whereby the handlebar stem converts to a carry handle so you can carry it along like a briefcase- awesome for going into lectures, movies, restaurants and work!

  • Was posted before here (https://www.cheapies.nz/node/17145) but it looks like that container is full and they're taking pre-orders for another one.

  • This is much cheaper than renting the new lime scooters at $18 an hour.

Do you pay GST on this import over$400?

  • What about customs fee

    • +1

They're NZ-based, so the items are already imported - no extra customs fees etc. As far as this scooter goes that's good because I think gearbest etc won't send the scooter here because of the battery size.

      • You can still cancel your order over the phone and get a full refund. Then place a new order with a different email address using referral code, $69.90 off :) I have also added my referral code above.

  • where does it say the $4 shipping? missed last time when it was free shipping but cant find shipping this time

    • It adds it at checkout. Just updated title to reflect exact shipping cost ($3.60)

      • The shipping cost for a Wellington address was $18 (I did get $3.60 when I checked an Auckland address though)

  • Where are you allowed to ride these in NZ?

    • Footpaths without a helmet according to Lime who have just started up electric scooter rentals across NZ.

      • +1

Footpaths and roads. Also clearly marked cyleways (ones that are separate from roads). Source: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&object…

      • I wonder what Lime etc will pay people per recharge for the NZ scooters, in the US it's $5 per scooter and you have to return them to an area where the app requires them(ie could be 20km away).

        https://www.seek.co.nz/job/37358106
'You will be paid per scooter that you charge and drop off, through a formula based on the % charged for each scooter'

Even if you charged 10 per night on the base charger they provide(4 at a time) is ~$50 worth picking up 10 from across the city, bringing them home, charging them, dropping them back at a location km's away before 7am(also paid less if returned after 7am in the US with heavy penalties).

        • Here's a map of the bounties on the scooters https://scootermap.com/

I imagine it could be a lucrative gig if you live in the CBD or any of the other hubs where they are clustered.

  • Container just filled up. Updated post.
