  • Hi,

It says that the three 'months' are SIMs rather than 'packs' (or credit).

Does that mean that you would have to use the first SIM (say, one of the $29 Combo SIMs), then at the end of the first month, swap out that SIM for the next $29 Combo SIM, and for the third month swap in the $19 Combo SIM?

If so, it seems like your number will be changing every month (with each new SIM).

Is that correct, or am I missing something?

    Thanks,

    Alan.

    • Yeah three different packs, so three different numbers. Unless you do a 'Bring your own number' to the new pack, but I think you are only allowed to that once.

      • How long is a SIM pack valid for?

What I mean is, if I byu a prepay recharge, it is valid for, I believe, 12 months from the date of purchase.

Does a SIM pack also 'expire' after some set period of time, or would it still be valid in, say, two years (assuming it is unopened and never used)?

        Thanks,

        Alan.

        • AFAIK sim cards, if un-activated, never expire. However the mobile operator may discontinue old prepay deals so you may not want to leave it in the cupboard for many years. 2 years should be fine however.

Actually, you can add another 2degrees $19 Carryover Combo SIM Blue pack, which will also be free. I think you'll end up with 4 packs and a phone for $69.

    Great fine OP!

  • i think they have removed the 1x $29 pack hack, but can still do the 2x $19 ones

  • Thanks to this deal I now have 4 2degrees SIMs worth almost $100 together. I was wondering how I can make use of these without having to change my phone number all the time?
This is the only plan I can think of:
    -use SIM 1
-when credit is used up, port number to another network
    -port back to SIM 2
-repeat until SIM 4 is used

Is there a way to "port" within network but use the credit available in the destination SIM instead of the credit in the source SIM?
    Thanks

    • do you know if the phone is locked to 2degrees or unlocked to be used with any carrier?

      • It's locked to 2degrees.

      • I seem to recall that you can unlock it for free after nine months, but you should check that with 2Degrees - don't rely on my memory!

        Alan.
