    I've never noticed any difference between different brands of basic AA and AAA batteries of the same chemistry. These are alkaline so decent, not like zinc oxide which are really only suitable for infrared remotes.

    More expensive rechargeables there is most definitely a difference, but design/materials and construction quality come more into play there. Still a fan of Eneloops for niMH.
