    For anyone who buys this (or any other label maker), buy the tape off of eBay it is MUCH MUCH cheaper than through any store in NZ.

        So true but there's a way to minimise the waste. I can't remember the exact steps on top of my head but if you're printing more than one, I think you have to put it on 'chain' setting and set the margin to narrow or something.

        Just noticed this reply - take a look on Aliexpress.com. I've ordered a 6mm wide tape for $4.50 and they have heaps of other options at a similar price.
