  • USB 2.0

    • Yes 2.0 would be crazy for 32G capacity.

    • Yea 2.0 is pretty slow if you r trying to transfer large files. Takes a very long time and requires a lot of patience. Not so bad though if you r only putting small documents on it.

  • We've been surviving on usb2.0 for such a long long time. It's fine.

  • It totally depends on the individually drive. usb3 is 480mBps that's way faster than any USB I have. Lots of usb3 drive are slow as usb2 drives and even if its writing at 8+mBps its probably faster than most drives

  • usb2 is painfully slow, but at this price i might just get a few around as disposable storage

  • USB being FAT32, is still limited to individual file size (4GB if memory serves) so you dont need to worry about usb 2.0 speeds to be honest. for what you normally use a pendrive for usb 3 is overkill.

    • +2

or you just format it to exfat/ntfs

  • for around $1 or $2 more you can get a usb 3.0 32gb flash stick
