these dont work to well on ranch sliders

    • Yea wouldn't expect them to

  • Do you need to stick a magnetic strip to your door (permanently)? Also have slider but may have to get this

Just bought 2. One for front door and one for sliding. Comes with velcro strips that can stick to metal and the matching side to the screen so you can take off at the end of summer. Also come with pins to stick to wood.

  • This is definitely cheap!

I've purchased one from the warehouse recently (maybe 2~3 weeks ago?) and it was $10. At the time I thought it was cheap, because I paid for the same thing on Trademe some time ago and it was around $14 including shipping. Even though I used the free shipping code for the warehouse, but it was still better as it had a brand as opposed to a no brand on Trademe.

Essentially, it just uses velcro to stick to the wall/wood/metal and the other side sticks to the curtain itself. The velcro is crap though, so you'd want to use the pins as well. I recommend getting 2~3 people to help you lift the curtain and try to adjust it and test it before putting it on. Initially, I spaced the curtain so that the middle (where the magnets are) will close immediately after it has been opened. However, the spacing was off, so if there's a little bit of wind that blows it slightly, the middle will stay open and never close. You'd want to keep both sides a bit loose so that the middle can stay closed even if it is pushed slightly.
