Its a Modem router. Not a router. Useless for me.
Great price, but yes, it's a modem router. Although it is possible to disable the modem function and have it act as a router, I have yet to figure out how to do this.
Does it work with fibre connections?
You'll need to turn off the modem function to make it a router. Read it once before online somewhere on how to do it, but I didn't bother.
It has a 10/100 switch, so I wouldn't consider it as it'll limit any 100Mb/s+ connection by 10-20Mb/s.

I thought it was a decent deal but maybe too old tech?The 5GHz speed is only 300mega bit. Which is rather slow for 5GHz frequency. This doesn't have a Wan (what ever you call it, I'm bad with terminology) port to act as a router for fibre. Only good for ADSL connection
4-port 10/100 switch. Ethernet only gives out 100mbps… thats probably why its so cheap…
