Cheapest ever on pricespy (previous $494)! (update to 600 and 700 series). Checking the SKU this does come with the 18-55mm kit lens and is the same product as currently advertised on the JB website for $799.20.

  Can't recommend this enough as a small DSLR, taking it on holiday soon and pairing it with the Canon 24mm pancake lens so that I actually take it around with me

    If I didn't already have a 600d and had a JB nearby (Invercargill) i'd be all over this. Much lighter than the 600d and you get the digic 5 image processor but you lose the rotating/folding screen for video/astro work.

  As I've previously mentioned, it's a great camera which I find myself using more often than my higher specced DSLR due to its size. I would buy another one as a spare, but Canon are finally bringing out a new version of this camera later this year although it will probably initially retail for $1500.
