I just brought $380 NZD of clothes form this site and never got charged any duty.but there is a $400 limit and after that is GST to be added.

Buy the products on the sports direct UK website. The pricing and shipping will be cheaper compared to buying from the sportsdirect NZ site.

according to http://www.whatsmyduty.org.nz/whats-my-duty there is a $60 Threshold
so it is worth spliting things up for husband and wife if need be

There are a few threads on this. If value isnt enough you wont get charged. 400$ but no black and white rule so always a risk.
I have never been charged Duty- 0
Clothing has different rates than electronics. Just keep that in mind.
