    Too bad it is state…. made me jump through so many hoops to make a claim and took 3 months just to approve it. Never again…

      They have been really good with me.
      Been meaning to move my house to state to match my contents and car.
      Might aswell do it now

      We were accused of starting a fire we did not light, by State, and they never paid out on the claim (Hundreds of thousands?). Wouldn't touch them with an Eiffel Tower length stick.

        Can confirm, State are terrible. We switched to FMG (even though we're not rural), similar price and they offer full replacement cover for the house instead of valuation based cover like almost every other insurer in NZ.

    There is no contract on insurance so could just signup, get 500 flybuys and switch back?

    Saw this and signed up our car - not realising the promo is only valid for targeted customers who received the email.
    Might be worth mentioning in the OP.
    Admittedly we've been meaning to for a while, so it's good to do anyway - but sucks to miss out on the free 500 points!

      I have marked it as targeted, but have no idea who or how many received the emails.

        Nope - I was going to get in touch with them and ask where my points were, then read the T*C's: "This offer is only available to the Fly Buys cardholder who receives the promotional email. The Fly Buys number listed on the top right-hand side of the email must be provided when taking out the new policy."
