Amazon Kindle Fire HD +

The Kindle Fire HD is the second generation of Amazon 's Kindle Fire line of color touchscreen tablet computers. It was announced on September 6, 2012 and is available in two form factors, 7 inch and 8.9 inch. Both versions were available to pre-order in the United States on September 6; the 7-inch version was released on September 14, while the 8.9-inch, wifi-only model was released on November 16, and the 4G-enabled version is scheduled to be released the week of Nov. 18. The 7-inch model was released in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom on October 25 and in Japan on December 19. At present, the 8.9-inch model will only be released in the United States.
