Intel 6700k $275USD- $390.5NZD + Youshop Shipping Fees @ Neweggs eBay

Sorry i couldnt post this as a deal becuase it is not a top rated seller, NewEgg is the seller so its legit.

You will need to change your primary address to add this to cart

http://www.ebay.com/itm/301748591787

should be about 415 with youshop shipping(correct me if I am wrong), pretty good price. Its less than I paid for a 6700 non k for computer lounge with discount.

I could probably sell my 6700 for $415 and pick this up. although i prefer my 6700 since its also overclocked…

Another great deal, $45 shipped to nz. although the charger is probably 110v, still you can either buy a new charger, or use a old one/share one and this is still a great deal. I brought a twin back a new years ago that was $90 and havn't seen them that cheep since. Highly recomend this toothbrush.

    WARNING: PROBABLY 110V charger

Yea, I'm running my I5 6400 at about 4.2, no issues at all.

Keep in mind that this may attract GST and Duty charges. I think you can declare value on Youshop, but still, just something to be wary of.

  • blck ftw! I'm looking out for a deal on a good heatsink to bump mine past 4ghz else ill pick one up overseas next year.

  • With amazon shipping their was no tax. I guess its always possible to be stung though. Never been that unlucky with orders under $400.

Yea, BCLK method, just can't upgrade bios which is a bit of a pain, but oh well, saved hundreds using it!

I got the Cooler Master Hyper 212X from PBTech, and very stable around 4.2 GHZ.

I was more referring to the 6700k, the other purchases would be fine, well below the GST threshold.

      • Yeah i'll have to decide sometime. Was looking at picking up a 212x/212evo, seems like the best budget around. pushin 4.5g to would be possible but better with the noctua 15d and that's only $115ish.

I imported an asrock, i think some other brands also have external clock generaters since intel patched the microcode. Supermicro's good too from memory.

        • Guess the question would be would you notice the extra .1 - .2 GHZ for an extra $50 - $60. Probably not, other things would bottleneck before that.

Nice, I got the ASRock Z170M Extreme4 from NewEgg a few months back. Took a bit of messing around and deleting the Intel MC file etc. to make sure it didn't revert every boot, but haven't had any issues for about 6 months now. Only problem is that I'm having to run my RAM underclocked, but it's not really a big deal, don't notice the real world difference at all due to the much faster CPU clock speed.

        • Yeah rams so overpowered now days. Next to no point going beyond 2ghz.

Nice I've got the z170 extreme3 it's doing great absolulty love the features for the price point, and I didn't need to delete any files it just works and I'm on bios7, so not sure about that? I found it would revert alot but that was because of other messed up settings making the OC unstable, took ages of playing around to get things stable. I used skyoc setting to let the board overclock itself then based my overclock on that. Ram took a bit of testing since the kit i got and mobo didn't play nicely at first.

I've notices game are starting to really take advantage of cpu's. A dual core would have been fine 3 years ago but now more power = frame rates, especially with new api's.
