If a deal has already been posted here say 3 weeks ago and it's currently on special at that same price from the same retailer do you just ignore the fact it's already posted and put it up again or should something else be done?

If a deal is expired, but not marked as such, you can report it to the moderator team using the report button under the deal, and just selecting Expired.
If it is part of a different sale/promotion from the retailer, then the previous one would have expired, in theory, so you may repost it if it has been ~a month in between the previous deal and the current one, and the previous deal has expired.
