No info about the sale has been released yet, this is not a valid bargain. You can't post a sale without any specific bargain, unpublished this deal and republish it later when the sale has started if the bargains are good.

    • In this case there is a deal listed, in the title, however you are correct that deals without specific bargains should be republished, and usually would. This is not reflective on the quality of the deal though, we would not remove a deal that conforms to the rules just because it's a "bad deal", that is what the voting system is for.

      • The deal listed isn't part of the birthday sale, this is a separate sale so the post should post should be updated to show that. Also the DJI Phantom 3 is much cheaper on PriceSpy I give this a down vote.

The deal listed isn't part of the birthday sale, this is a separate sale

I'm not sure of the answer to that, as there is an image of this product in the promotional material, so am not in a position to decide whether it's part of the sale or not.

At this stage, will leave the deal up and it can be updated once the sale becomes live, simply due to the fact that there is a single bargain listed, that may or may not be for the upcoming sale event. If there wasn't, and it was just a blank post, then it would be removed.

Also the DJI Phantom 3 is much cheaper on PriceSpy(pricespy.co.nz) I give this a down vote.

That is fine, you have every right to do this, that is how the vote system works.

      • Just to clarify if we spot a good deal for this same promo/sale can we post a separate deal or does it just get merged into this deal

        • All the current deals in this post are todays price busters which is completely different from the birthday sale. Can't see why they would be combined into this post.

Hmm.. Doesn't seem like a good deal.

They do have a good deal today with the Lian Li case(3 remaining)

    http://iforce.co.nz/i/b3ahnhl5.ona.jpg

  • 3 remaining, 2 in others baskets Only 1 available, must be a good deal!
Now 1 available, 4 in others carts.

  • Bobs can you answer this: How do you know these deals are from the PB Tech Birthday sale? How come the prices are live before the sale begins? and if these are the only good bargains than it's a pretty crap sale. Please confirm where these non-deals come from.

Why are you always so negative in comments - chill out a bit aye? The fact is there are some OK deals up there - the case deal is amazing, the video card deal is below cost (though they will fall further in a few months with the impending next gen release).

This is listed as the Price Busters Birthday Edition - not exactly as the title says above, but I misinterpreted it on first read too. The deals are 24 hours only, the birthday sale kicks off tomorrow. Why get hung up over a name?

      • Didn't see that bobs had updated the deal with the price busters Previously the deal contained a horrible for a DJI Phantom 3 which was 200 more expensive than the cheapest price spy for it.

        • Ok, have updated the title to reflect that this is, in fact, a "Price Buster" sale, and not the birthday sale.

@Shaw: If this deal post is for Wednesday's Price Busters, could the description and expiry date be updated to reflect this? Also, the deals for the birthday sale have been released… I'm sure someone here will post this.

@Mark Wasley: Thanks for the link, am posting them right now. :)

@Mark Wasley: https://www.cheapies.nz/node/6808 Thanks a lot for the link. it wasn't there 20 minutes ago, you were quick! Also I've revoked my vote on this deal because it was changed to the price busters.

@ClipIt: I've made some minor changes on your deal. I was on the PB Tech website looking up the other Price Buster deals and that's when I saw the link to the birthday sale page. I'm glad all the confusion is cleared up and your post can represent the birthday sale and this post is for the Price Busters. Cheers, Mark.

@Shaw: Can we please keep this deal post for the Price Busters? I note this deal has been recently updated with some of the birthday sale deals. I'm confident ClipIt's deal post will serve the site adequately for the deals in the birthday sale and this post is fine for the Price Busters. Once again, I ask that you, as a moderator, ensure this deal is described and tagged correctly and the expiry date updated to expire at the end of the day, instead of me just joining in the conversation and updating the deal. Cheers, Mark.

          @Mark Wasley:

Been caught up with some other stuff this afternoon dude, can't keep an eye on everything all the time. Looks like we've got it all sorted now though.

        • +1

@Shaw: Hi Shaw. I directed my comments to you since you were a moderator already in the conversation. I understand you can't be here all the time. Yes, everything seems to be all sorted now. I've done some final edits to this deal that none of the moderators had got to yet and that should be the end of any discrepancies. Cheers, Mark.

        • @Mark Wasley:

No worries mate. All good now.

Goodness, you take things too seriously. There are real life problems out there

Mod: Please keep this deal as Price Busters and the other deal for Birthday as there has been a bit of confusion with the sales.

Could the link be changed from /node/680 to /node/6808, it links to a completely different deal.

Yea just spotted that, updated link and description to reflect the deal.
