        Maybe something could be introduced that displays a list of deals being created at the moment, on the submit deal page. Would help avoid these situations, I believe.

          That would just make me type faster! Maybe in the possible duplicate box they could appear?

          @ClipIt: The deal wouldn't be a duplicate at that point, so I think a separate box would be better. Maybe lock posting any deals for the domain, until the first member has posted the deal. The lock would also expire after X minutes, like the Wiki pages do at the moment.

          Would probably create more problems than it would solve.

          As for a list, imagine if there was 50 - 100 (hypothetical of course) deals being created at one time, or for a lock, if there was a large sale on, such as an eBay 20% off, and there were 10's of users posting deals for eBay.

          You can see where problems would arise, it's easier just to merge two posts into one, keep the best content, and dupe the second, as we currently do.
