PureProfile - Is It Legit?

My friend referred me to this random survey completing website, Pureprofile - wondering if anyone has had any experiences with it?

  • It's wot scorecard looks good.

  • Think someone posted it on here a few weeks ago.

  • I believe that pure profile had a deal where you can earn money by referring other people to it.

    • Receive $2 for every friend you refer who answers 10 questions

  • I just did a survey for $3.25, took me about 10 min!

    • Your friend just got two dollars too. Not bad though. How about a pure profile referral links wiki page. I might have a go.

  • There's a bunch of survey sites that cater to NZ research and are legit(Valuedopinions, Opinionworld, Yousay, Askmen, TVNZ Greenroom, MediaWorks Advisory Group, APN Media Panel, Perceptive, Nielsen Consumer Panel etc).

The ones that pay per survey work out to be about $15 an hour plus the odd opportunity for focus groups or online panels that pay $100+ for a few hours and the others usually just have a monthly prize draw. Often a survey on one site will also be run on another(ie common on valuedopinions and opinionworld) so you do the same survey again(but faster knowing what its about) and get paid for both.

    • One thing different about pure profile than valued opinions (which I have used) is that it gives you real money rather than gift cards or vouchers.

      • Looks like you can only get it after you've accumulated $25 (paypal method) which may take some time

I'll check out the other survey websites though!

        • On valued opinions you can only redeem $6 vouchers. PayPal is often much more convenient. If it took you ten minutes to earn three dollars it'll take about an hour and a half to get twenty five.

        • @ClipIt:Yeah, just wondering how often the surveys roll around

  • Pure Profile is certainly legit — it's a public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and it has been around for 15+ years. However with all those online survey / profile companies, you do get spammed a lot afterwards.

  • Just to update everyone - I signed up 20 days ago and have only earned $4.55!

My friend and I have earned about $30-35 (Paypal) from Opinion World in the same amount of time

    • I signed up when you posted this, and have earned $0.50… Your fortune is much larger than mine!

  • Just put together a wiki page for Pure Profile referral links.

  • I use Valued Opinions myself, I've redeemed over $60 from them in the last year or so. Surveys take a while to start coming though once you first sign up, but once you have completed a few they come through more often, I see one nearly every 2 days now. I always redeem for $20 JB HiFi or $10 Rebel Sport, but they have a few other NZ retailers including Farmers and Mighty Ape.

  • Made this wiki page: List of paid survey websites, do you know of any more, feel free to add to this list or comment below and I'll add then.

  • i signed up with pureprofile , in 3 weeks i have had no surveys , and have made a whole 20 cents NZ

  • In the same vein, many universities are often after people for all sorts of short trials etc. which they provide some remuneration for. sometimes for cash but more often in petrol vouchers etc. Some are simple questionnaires, others may run over weeks.

University of Canterbury have a website for Subjects Wanted Presumably other colleges may have something similar. At the very least, there is usually a noticeboard somewhere in the Uni with such requests. They can be interesting sometimes.

Not for paid remuneration, but Christchurch also has a semi-pro victims facebook page to provide volunteer victims for several search and rescue organisations.

It's a real scream. No, literally, screaming is often involved. Get to play dressups with fake wounds, spurting blood etc. Often a lot of role playing involved. Good fun. Also get to see places usually off limits. Things like major aircraft crash at an international airport, buried alive in underground rubble (practice for the search dogs), car crashes, cliff rescues etc. -Voluntary Victims Christchurch

  • Up to $13.90 now, go on there every now and then, pretty cool system they've got going on there.

  • Another update, now up to just over $45. Seem to be getting a few of the surveys now, some quite interactive and interesting. How is everyone else doing?

    • Up to $6, keep getting survey emails, and by the time i click they have filled the quota :(

      • Ahh I find that too. Noticed that once you have done a few, they start to become more frequent. My wife rarely gets any, but I get quite a few now.

  • Pureprofile is by far one of the best survey/market research sites I have joined! Not to mention that they're definitely 100% legit.
I'm pretty sure it's only available in New Zealand too.
Apart from occasionally waiting a long time for rewards payouts (upto 6 weeks) and getting screened out at the beginning of maybe 30% of surveys I start they're a fantastic online survey community.
In my opinion they have one of the highest dollar or money payout rewards system out of any site I'm a member of, plus they pay in dollars instead of mucking around with a points system. It's much more straight forward.
Plus they always have something for me to do everyday and offer plenty of money making opportunities for all the members on the site.
This is one of my favourites. 😃
