About $500 cheaper than the usual price for these dates. China Southern has Auckland to Paris from $1,773 return with a checked bag and one change in Guangzhou each way, leaving 4 March 2027. Google Flights rates it low and says trips to Paris on those dates usually cost $2,200 to $2,900.

Catches:
- The 4 March fare leaves Auckland at 10am, with 8h30 in Guangzhou going out (32h40 to Paris) and 9h30 coming home. The 3 March fare leaves at 10:25pm instead, with a night in Guangzhou (19h50).
- The lowest price is from an online agency. It might not be refundable, so check the change and refund rules on the booking page before you pay.
- The price fell in mid October and may not last.
- The connections are on one China Southern ticket. If you want to leave the airport in Guangzhou, check China's transit entry rules first.
- SafeTravel advises increased caution in France (level 2 of 4).
Given the state of Paris at the moment I'm not surprised less people are flying there.
