Hey guys, dev here. Dropped Deficit Grams to free for 48 hours.
It’s a simple on-device utility for Apple Health that translates your daily calorie balance into estimated grams or ounces, with widgets and an Apple Watch companion. No subscriptions, ads, or tracking.
Basically I got tired of seeing 500 Cal under budget or over budget for the day and not knowing what that meant, approximately, long term. When you have a bad day and you see you bust your budget by 500 Cal, it feels bad and can be demotivating, but knowing it might only add 65 grams or 2 ounces to your weight makes it easier to take in stride. Also when you see you’re losing amounts of weight every day, even if small, that can be motivating too. Or the opposite if your goal is weight gain!
Just a heads up: it doesn't have a built-in food database, it relies on you already tracking your meals in Apple Health and logging your weight every so often so it has data to work with.
Hope you find it useful, let me know if you run into any issues.
