With the kogan deal getting more unpredictable, is it still the #1 cheapies recommendation?
I don't use all of the 15gb monthly tbh. I only use 5gb a month at most.
Data only is fine for me. Could an esim or rollover prepay beat kogan without having to wait for BOGOF and splitting with strangers?
Wouldn't it be best to do 2 x fortnight at 34$ as it gives you 80GB of rollover data then switch to the 8$ one?
That would work too.
I was purely looking at the cheapest cost overall to get close to 5GB per month on average but the 2x fortnight is only slightly more for a heaps more data.

Yeah, this is good for stacking a bunch of data then dropping to the $15 plan to keep unlimited calls if that's something someone needs, or $8 for 100 carry over minutes. You can also just get the fortnightly plans as you need, no reason to get 2x at the start unless you want to.
if cost is the main factor consider a three HK sim which is about $61 NZD for 30GB data a year :

so you could buy this twice a year and get 60gb data for 120 NZD. Downside is traffic routed via HK so higher latency / Weird ads for that locale.

Take out the $60 month plan which gives you 50GB of carryover data.
After a month change down to the $8 month plan with 150MB carryover.
This would give you 51.65GB for the year (initial 50GB plus 150MB x 11 months) at an average of 4.3GB per month. Cost would be $148 ($12.33 per month on average).
As a bonus you also get 7.5GB if you are a new customer and it also comes with voice, txt and hotspotting.
If it ever looks like you are going to run out of data you could upgrade again.
