With the kogan deal getting more unpredictable, is it still the #1 cheapies recommendation?
I don't use all of the 15gb monthly tbh. I only use 5gb a month at most.
Data only is fine for me. Could an esim or rollover prepay beat kogan without having to wait for BOGOF and splitting with strangers?
I pay for the XL plan on bogof or 50% off deals and rarely use anywhere near that volume of data but it is useful for hot spotting when the internet goes down or when travelling around nz. A bunch of Teams calls can chew through a lot of data.
I set an alert on cheapies for Kogan bogof. Sometimes I buy the voucher a few months in advance as their deals aren’t always predictable (if expiry date is after my plan expiry).

Take out the $60 month plan which gives you 50GB of carryover data.
After a month change down to the $8 month plan with 150MB carryover.
This would give you 51.65GB for the year (initial 50GB plus 150MB x 11 months) at an average of 4.3GB per month. Cost would be $148 ($12.33 per month on average).
As a bonus you also get 7.5GB if you are a new customer and it also comes with voice, txt and hotspotting.
If it ever looks like you are going to run out of data you could upgrade again.
