I’ve been working on a free calculator for people in New Zealand who want to quickly estimate their take-home pay from their salary.
It can be useful for checking things like:
Gross salary → estimated take-home pay
PAYE deductions
KiwiSaver contributions
Student loan deductions
Weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay
Hourly rate → annual salary

one thing I didn't see (or didn't notice ?) a calculator for people who are about to retire.
Final pay calculation with holiday payout included and then perhaps an additional (if wanted) calculator to add your Pension (assuming you qualify) for the remainder of the current tax year ?
I recently went through this myself and tried to time retirement so that it didn't impact my EOY tax and so hopefully I don't have a nasty bill next year at end of tax time………a calculator for that would have been of considerable help .
